Roman Reigns’ WWE WrestleMania 43 Main Event Opponent Revealed — Report
A new report has emerged regarding Roman Reigns’ expected opponent for the main event of WWE WrestleMania 43.
WWE WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027. Fans continue to speculate that the highly anticipated match between Roman Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could happen at the event. However, Dave Meltzer reported in August that Johnson’s filming schedule for Fast Forever, the 11th and final film in The Fast and the Furious franchise, may interfere with these plans.
“Because that movie is gonna take months to film, if he is in it, which he is scheduled to be in it, that him doing a match at WrestleMania would be out the window. I mean, could he fly to Saudi Arabia and show up? Of course. Of course he could, and he could always do that,” Meltzer said about The Rock’s schedule.
Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi Reportedly Planned For WrestleMania 43
Now, Meltzer noted in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is currently expected to be the main event of WrestleMania 43 Night Two. However, it’s important to note that this is currently just a belief within the promotion. It’s not a confirmed plan.
“Nick Khan to Varsity regarding WrestleMania, said that the key creative is already done, barring injury, for WrestleMania. The belief is they are building to Reigns vs. Femi as the main event on the Sunday. As we’ve seen every year, whatever plans there are will get changed likely many times due to injury.”
Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta on next week’s episode of WWE RAW in Mexico City. Reports also indicated he’d face LA Knight at Money in the Bank next month.
