WWE Intentionally Going Head-To-Head With AEW All Out — Report
WWE is reportedly making a deliberate move to compete directly with AEW All Out later this month.
AEW All Out and WWE Worlds Collide are both scheduled to take place in Illinois on the same day. While AEW’s event will be held at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, WWE Worlds Collide is set for the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
The two venues are located relatively close to one another, adding another layer to what is shaping up to be an interesting night for wrestling fans. WWE has now reportedly chosen a start time that will put Worlds Collide in direct competition with AEW All Out.
WWE Reportedly Chose Worlds Collide Start Time To Directly Compete With AEW
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE’s decision to have Worlds Collide begin at 8 PM ET is intentional. The report states that WWE is looking to directly compete with AEW All Out that same day.
This would give fans another major wrestling event to watch while AEW All Out is taking place. With both shows happening in the same general area, the scheduling decision could also create an unusual situation for fans attending either event.
The report adds another interesting wrinkle to the ongoing competition between WWE and AEW. Both companies have increasingly placed major events on the same dates, although the circumstances and start times have varied.
This also isn’t the first time WWE and AEW have had major events going head-to-head. The most recent example came on August 30, when AEW All In took place at Wembley Stadium while WWE’s NXT Heatwave was held on the same day. However, the events had different start times, with All In beginning at 1 PM ET and Heatwave starting at 3 PM ET.
