TNA Announces Six-Way Match to Crown New X-Division Champion at Bound for Glory

TNA has announced that a new X-Division Champion will be crowned at Bound For Glory.
In a video message posted on X, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella dropped an interesting message. He revealed that the fate of the X-Division Championship will be determined at Bound for Glory.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is Santino Marella, Director of Authority,” Marella said. “Leon Slater has exercised Option C, which means he will challenge for the TNA World Title.
“In light of that, he has vacated the X-Division Championship, and we will be starting a series of qualifying matches in which the winner of each match will then be in a six-way match for the X-Division Title at Bound for Glory.”
Leon Slater Exercised Option C At TNA Lockdown
Option C has been part of TNA history for years. The concept traditionally allows the reigning X-Division Champion to surrender the title in exchange for an opportunity to challenge for the TNA World Championship.
Slater’s decision comes after a significant run with the X-Division Championship. He reclaimed the title from Cedric Alexander in a Last Man Standing match at Lockdown.
However, Slater’s plans became clear following The Hardys’ defeat. This was at the hands of The Nemeths for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
Slater appeared after the match and relinquished the X-Division Championship. Furthermore, he set his sights on a TNA World Championship opportunity against Nic Nemeth at Bound For Glory in October.
