Maxxine Dupri Addresses Recent Austin Theory Interactions on WWE RAW
WWE may be moving forward with a major character change for Maxxine Dupri after the June 1, 2026 episode of RAW. After weeks of subtle backstage moments with Austin Theory, Dupri finally addressed the situation herself.
For the past few weeks, WWE has been teasing a possible connection between Dupri and The Vision. What started as small background interactions has slowly become a bigger part of the storyline. On this week’s RAW, the story continued while also creating tension within Alpha Academy.
Otis confronts Maxxine Dupri about Austin Theory
During a backstage segment on this week’s RAW, Dupri approached Adam Pearce and vented her frustration about not being included in this year’s Queen of the Ring tournament.
She was surprised when she saw the bracket and realized she wasn’t part of the competition. Pearce tried to reassure her, explaining that the tournament was loaded with talent and difficult choices had to be made.
He reminded Dupri of her achievements and told her that “if an opening comes up,” she would be “at the top of the list.”
However, Dupri didn’t seem convinced. She felt the decision was just another example of being overlooked. Although she thanked Pearce before leaving, it was obvious she wasn’t happy with the explanation.
Meanwhile, as Pearce left, Otis checked in on his “Babe.”
When he asked if Dupri was okay, she brushed off the concern and said she was fine.
Otis then brought up that both he and Akira Tozawa had seen her spending time with Austin Theory backstage and warned her that Theory was “bad news.”
“Babe, you never looked at our eyes. We always have your back. But AT and I noticed you’re hanging out with Austin Theory lately, and babe, he’s bad news,” Otis said.
That annoyed Dupri even more. She told Otis that she knew what she was doing and said that he and Tozawa didn’t fully understand her situation.
“Otis, I know what I’m doing. You guys might not understand it, but can you please just trust me on this. Okay,” Dupri said.
The segment ended with Otis and Tozawa giving worried looks. It was clear that they were not convinced by her explanation.
