AEW World Trios Championships: The Conglomeration (c) vs. Don Callis Family
- The champs hold onto the titles here. In an opening match worthy of a big show, the groups went all out going after one another. Toward the end, O’Reilly broke up a pin from Beretta who hit Cassidy with a Gotch Style Piledriver. O’Reilly then got worked on for a big, but eventually Cassidy gets back involved and hits Beretta with a big body drop. Strong then tagged in and helped on Beretta. Cassidy then went airborne to elbow drop Romero off the top ropes, and O’Reilly worked on Archer as the match ended.
Winners – The Conglomeration
Grade – B+
It was a solid match, overall, especially as one of the big title openers. Conglomeration continues to look like a great group, but it would be fun to see them get involved with more folks than the Don Callis Family.
AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Eliminator: Divivne Dominion vs. TayJay
- Divine Dominion was hoping to quash any chances of putting their belts on the line, but it wasn’t meant to be. TayJay walked out with a shocking win here. Toward the end of the match, Anna Jay nearly got pinned after Bayne and Kross went to work on her. She kicked out at the last second though, and was then set up for a Divine Intervention. Tay Melo came to the rescue, though, pushing Bayne and allowing Jay to lock in the Queenslayer. Bayne back into the corner to try and get out of it, but Jay kept it locked in, and Melo held Kross back outside of the ring while Bayne tapped out.
Winners – TayJay
Grade – B
What a win for TayJay! Really exciting to see them get a title chance. While they might not win, anything can happen, and they proved tonight they have what it takes to compete at that same championship level.
In a video, we hear from Tommaso Ciampa, who said he hoped Chris Jericho would’ve shown up, but learned he isn’t. He then went into his reasons for hating Jericho, including his hatred of Fozzy, the light up jacket, cruises, armbars, and more.
