Injured WWE SmackDown Star Makes In-Ring Return Ahead of WWE Clash in Italy
Chelsea Green made her in-ring return from injury on WWE SmackDown ahead of Clash in Italy.
This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown is currently underway at the Olimpic Arena Badalona, in Barcelona, Spain. During the show’s opening, the promotion showed the superstars arriving at the venue, including former Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green, and announced that she will face Nia Jax.
Chelsea Green has been out of action with an ankle injury she sustained during an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend on the February 6, 2026, episode of SmackDown. However, she continued to appear in a non-contact role on WWE television, sitting in a wheelchair.
She recently stood on her feet on screen, but didn’t return to the ring. Chelsea Green then faced another setback, as she revealed that she underwent a heart procedure to treat supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a condition that causes an unusually fast heartbeat. Green noted that the condition affected her for years, but became much worse during WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Now, after over three months of inactivity, Chelsea Green finally made her in-ring return on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Green won her match after Tiffany Stratton, who originally said she wouldn’t be in her corner, attacked Nia in response to an earlier threat.
