WWE RAW Production Botch Explained
A production botch from this week’s WWE RAW might be intentional.
During this week’s episode of WWE RAW from Seattle, Washington, Danhausen came out to the ring to toss some of his top-selling merchandise into the crowd. He then hilariously asked those who didn’t catch one of the free t-shirts to buy some from the WWE Shop unless they wanted to get cursed.
The lights went out as he disappeared from the ring. However, WWE turned it back on for a brief second, and cameras captured him hilariously running to the back. While fans thought this was a production botch, it appears to be a planned bit. The cameraman actually followed Danhausen in the dark as he ran away, suggesting that it’s part of his gimmick.
WWE also featured Danhausen in a backstage segment on this week’s RAW, in which he cursed another superstar.
Hall of Famer believes Danhausen will thrive in WWE
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray noted that he felt happy when Danhausen came out of the mystery crate at Elimination Chamber. He believes WWE’s focus on entertainment will benefit the “very nice, very evil” star.
“When I saw Danhausen come out, I was very happy. I was happy for Danhausen. I think he’s exactly where he should be.
Honestly, I thought AEW was a great fit for Danhausen. I really thought AEW would utilize Danhausen to his maximum potential — not as a wrestler, but as an entertainer. But I’m loving the fact that Danhausen is in (WWE) World Wrestling Entertainment — keyword, entertainment. And the one thing that came to mind, Dave [LaGreca], right off the top of my head — and I tweeted this as well — give me Danhausen and R-Truth.
“I think he’s going to succeed. I pray they don’t put him on the backburner, I pray that they give him the opportunity to be as entertaining as we have seen him be in the past and we know he can be.” [H/T: WrestlingInc]
