Steph De Lander Reveals TNA Offered Husband Mance Warner Chance To Stay
Steph De Lander recently explained her husband Mance Warner was offered a chance to stay TNA Wrestling.
Earlier this week, reports revealed that De Lander and her husband Mance Warner had suddenly left the company. The situation reportedly started after TNA refused to allow De Lander to wrestle again even though she had recovered from neck surgery.
De Lander later shared more details about what happened. She revealed that she went through two neck surgeries and paid for them herself. After recovering, doctors medically cleared her to return to the ring.
However, TNA still told her they were not comfortable allowing her to compete. Despite being cleared, the company decided not to move forward with her in-ring return. De Lander also revealed that TNA offered Warner the chance to stay with the promotion.
Steph De Lander says TNA told Mance Warner he could remain with the company
During an interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring, De Lander spoke about the conversation she had with TNA before leaving the company. She explained that she had already discussed the situation with Warner beforehand.
She said, “So, I mean, Mance and I had spoken about it beforehand, and I basically said, like, ‘If they tell me I can’t wrestle, I’m quitting on the spot.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, I am too.'” De Lander added that she directly asked TNA for her release during a phone call.
“I had the phone call and asked for my release,” she said. “I told them, ‘Send it to me today.'” According to De Lander, the company later contacted Warner and told him that he could stay with the promotion. “They called Mance and said, ‘Hey, you can stay,'” she explained. “But he said, ‘I’m not.'”
