New Champion Crowned At NXT Vengeance Day
Tonight’s NXT Vengeance Day premium live event saw a brand new champion crowned in a chaotic finish.
During Saturday’s show, the NXT Women’s North American Championship was on the line, as Izzi Dame put up her belt against Tatum Paxley. In a competitive back and forth match, Paxley got some revenge against Dame, and won to become the new champion. Throughout the match, Shawn Spears had been trying to get involved on Dame’s behalf, even almost getting Paxley to be counted out.
At the end of the match, Spears got on the apron and tried to distract Paxley as she rolled up Izzi for a nearfall. Paxley went to punch Spears, but it did nothing, and she avoided a slap just as Dame came running over, and Izzi knocked him off the apron. Paxley then backflipped out of a Codebreaker from Izzi, and hit a rolling kick and Cemetery Drive for the win.
With the win, Paxley begins her first reign as NXT Women’s North American Champion. She’s already been an NXT Women’s Champion before, and will now look to have another successful title reign.
