Jacy Jayne will defend her TNA Knockouts Championship. Natalya returns to AAA. The Knockouts Tag Team Championships will be on the line. Kristin Blaze chats with WrestleZone and more!

Natalya Returning To AAA

This weekend, a number of WWE stars will head to Mexico for AAA TripleMania XXXIII on August 16. Representing the women’s division will be former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, and Lola Vice. The former will take part in a mixed trios match alongside Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, while Perez watches on (and potentially interferes) from ringside. Standing across the ring will be Mr. Iguana, Niño Hamburguesa, and NXT star Lola Vice, who made her official AAA debut last month.

Elsewhere, WWE Raw star Natalya will return to AAA as well. In her first outing, Natalya partnered with Vice to defeat the teams of Chik Tormenta and Dalys as well as Faby Apache and Lady Shani. Now at TripleMania, she will challenge for the AAA Reina De Reinas Championship, currently held by Lady Flammer. Faby Apache will round out the title match to make it a triple threat.

Flammer’s reign as AAA Reina De Reinas Champion has spanned over 700 days, giving her the second-longest reign behind only Taya Valkyrie, who carried the title for over 900 days between 2014 to 2017. Apache herself is a former four-time Reina De Reinas Champion, having most recently held the title in 2021.

Should Natalya win at TripleMania, it will mark her first singles championship since 2017, when she reigned as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion for three months.

Jacy Jayne To Defend TNA Knockouts Title At NXT Heatwave

Eight days after TripleMania, Lola Vice and several other NXT talents will gear up for WWE NXT Heatwave, which has five matches announced so far. Three involve members of the NXT and TNA women’s divisions.

Following her mixed tag match in AAA, Vice will turn her attention back to the NXT gold as she, Jaida Parker, and Kelani Jordan square off in a triple threat match, with the winner earning a future NXT Women’s Championship match. In recent weeks, all three have stated their desire to pursue the respective title, which is currently held by Jacy Jayne.

Jayne herself will also be in action at Heatwave as she puts her TNA Knockouts Championship on the line against TNA’s Ash By Elegance (fka Dana Brooke) and Masha Slamovich. Last month, the Fatal Influence member defeated Slamovich in a Winner Takes All Match at TNA Slammiversary, resulting in two championships now sitting around her waist. Since then, Jayne has defended the Knockouts Title against Elegance and Slamovich in separate matches. Both, however, have ended in disqualification.

Elsewhere at Heatwave, the rivalry between Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe will hopefully be settled when they battle one-on-one in the ring. Monroe, a newcomer to NXT, initially showed support for Grace heading into NXT Great American Bash and WWE Evolution. At the latter, though, she revealed herself as an enemy to Grace by costing her an NXT Women’s Championship match against Jayne.

KO Tag Titles On The Line At TNA Emergence

Ahead of their clash at NXT Heatwave, Ash By Elegance and Jacy Jayne will appear at TNA Emergence in the corners of their respective allies for a TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship match at TNA Emergence. Emergence will emanate from Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday, August 15.

The Elegance Brand’s Heather by Elegance (Heather Reckless) and M by Elegance (Maggie Lee) will defend Knockouts Tag Team Championships against The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay), Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, and Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside. While not an official trio, Lee and Brookside have supported Masha Slamovich in recent weeks, making Slamovich’s appearance in this title match also possible.

Ash and Heather claimed the Knockouts Tag Titles back in March when they, as well as their personal concierge, defeated Dani Luna and Jody Threat in a three-on-two handicap match. Since then, The Elegance Brand has successfully defended them against Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend, The IInspiration, and Luna and Threat (together known as Spitfire).
