Tony Khan Believes These AEW Stars Are On One Of Their Best Career Runs

They may be down, but The Young Bucks are still making their mark in AEW.
Since losing their positions as Executive Vice Presidents, Matt and Nick Jackson (together, the Young Bucks) have also lost access to their prized limousine, their private locker room, their signature theme song, and a proper introduction from AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts. Nevertheless, they still appear to be impressing AEW President Tony Khan.
“Certainly, The Young Bucks, people who have a lot to prove and also, to be honest, I think are on one of the greatest runs of their entire careers,” Tony Khan told AEW Unrestricted. “Whether you call ‘em Slick Nick and Mr. Instant Replay, or Matthew and Nicholas, or no talent name, or in this case, just Matt and Nick. They’re just absolutely having a fantastic year, and you gotta give the devils their due in this case.” (H/T to Fightful for the transcription)
After receiving mocking match introductions from Roberts in recent weeks, The Young Bucks double superkicked him on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, causing Khan to fine them $10,000 each.
Looking ahead, the Bucks now prepare for a Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where they will be working alongside Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Gabe Kidd. The former AEW Tag Team Champions will stand across from the team of Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Will Ospreay.
