New WWE WrestleMania 42 Attendance Figures Reveal Major Decline — Report

WWE WrestleMania 42 saw a significant year-over-year drop in attendance, according to figures released by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority ahead of its quarterly meeting this week.
The two-day event took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the second consecutive year. According to POST Wrestling, the Stadium Authority reported that WrestleMania 42 drew 47,093 fans on Saturday, April 18, and 50,033 on Sunday, April 19. The combined attendance was 97,126.
The figures represent a notable decline from WrestleMania 41, which was also held at Allegiant Stadium. The Stadium Authority reported attendances of 58,538 on Saturday and 60,103 on Sunday in 2025, for a total of 118,641 fans.
That marks an overall decline of approximately 18% year over year.
WWE WrestleMania 42 Attendance Figures Vary
The Stadium Authority’s numbers are also consistent with the broader decline reflected in other attendance estimates.
WrestleTix, which analyzes ticketing maps to estimate tickets distributed and sold, previously estimated final figures of 50,081 for Saturday and 52,011 for Sunday. Its combined estimate was 102,092.
WWE announced different figures during the event. John Cena revealed an attendance of 50,816 for Saturday and 55,255 for Sunday, putting the announced total at 106,071.
Across the three sets of figures, WrestleMania 42’s attendance was between 15% and 18% lower than the previous year’s event.
Nick Khan Addressed the Decline
WWE President Nick Khan previously addressed the decision to hold WrestleMania in Las Vegas for a second consecutive year.
During an internal TKO staff call on April 27, Khan said returning to his hometown for another WrestleMania was ultimately his decision.
Khan acknowledged that WWE may not repeat the strategy of holding WrestleMania in the same city in consecutive years. However, he maintained that WrestleMania 42 was still a successful event.
WWE WrestleMania 41 remains the biggest gate in professional wrestling history. The two-night event generated approximately $66 million in ticket sales, according to POST Wrestling.
WrestleMania 42 was still among the biggest gates in WWE history. However, its lower attendance came during a quarter in which WWE’s live events revenue declined significantly compared with the previous year’s WrestleMania quarter.
According to TKO’s second-quarter earnings report, live events revenue was down $33.7 million year over year. TKO attributed the decline almost exclusively to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
With three separate attendance measurements now showing a clear year-over-year decline, the latest Stadium Authority figures provide further evidence that WrestleMania 42 did not match the attendance levels reached by WrestleMania 41.
