TNA’s Taryn Terrell Says Getting Physical On Film Sets Is Her Love Language
Taryn Terrell is a decorated pro wrestler, but she’s also an accomplished stuntwoman. Some of her film credits include work in Daddy’s Home with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, and the 2023 film, Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Terrell considers herself to be very fortunate, as she has nearly 100 acting and stunt credits on her resume. One of her other stunt roles saw her cast in Twisted Metal, which also stars Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth. Terrell said she was disappointed that she didn’t get to catch up with Joe on the set. Despite that, she did get to tell the crew about how great he is.
“I was so bummed. We were not on set on the same day, so that sucked,” she told WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. “But it was funny, because I walked in the makeup trailer, and they always have everybody’s headshots that they’re working on. I look up, and there’s just a picture of Samoa Joe. I was like, ‘Oh, I got to work with him at TNA. He’s the sweetest person.’ Everybody was just like, ‘He’s so amazing!’
Taryn Terrell transforms on the set and in the ring
“But I will say that being able to work on films and just being physical is, I guess that’s my love language. I love to just get crazy, and I’m not afraid of getting hurt, I’m not afraid of anything. I feel like I’m a video game character; you just keep getting back up when you’re out there.
“You know how they say that people that can lift cars when they’re in high adrenaline situations? I feel like that’s me. Like, whether I’m on set and I’m doing stunts, or I’m in the ring, there is some sort of transformation that takes part that I’m like, alright, let’s go.”
Taryn Terrell will make her in-ring return at TNA Rebellion in Cleveland. She will compete in a Six-woman Hardcore Country tag team match on the show. Terrell will team with Mickie James and ODB against The Elegance Brand’s Ash by Elegance, Heather by Elegance, and M by Elegance.
