This TNA Champion answers whether he’d appear at the WWE Royal Rumble.

It’s the 2026 Royal Rumble season. WWE’s big PLE is set to go down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31. The card features two headline matches and the men’s and women’s over-the-top-rope battle royals, offering winners an opportunity to headline WrestleMania.

Speaking of opportunities, TNA World Champion Mike Santana has addressed the possibility of entering the Men’s Royal Rumble match. During a recent appearance on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Santana teased that he might show up at the Rumble.

“If that phone rings, let’s get it. That’s how I’m looking at it, I mean, I turn down no opportunities,” Mike Santana said. [H/T WrestleTalk]

Santana most recently defended his TNA World Championship against Frankie Kazarian at Genesis 2026. Check out how the match went down in WrestleZone’s PPV coverage here.

First WWE Royal Rumble entrant announced on SmackDown

This week’s SmackDown broadcast from London featured Cody Rhodes in an in-ring promo segment. The American Nightmare appeared on the show without the Undisputed WWE Championship around his waist.

Rhodes recapped his WWE Title loss to Drew McIntyre in their Three Stages of Hell match last week in Germany. He also referenced the secret clause McIntyre inserted into their championship match contract.

Acknowledging that he cannot invoke his immediate rematch clause, Cody Rhodes said it was time to do things the old-fashioned way as he officially declared for the 2026 Royal Rumble.
