AEW Star Granted Their Release — Report
A lot of strange things have happened in the world of professional wrestling free agency last week, with a lot of it centering around AEW.
In the last week, we’ve seen the AEW departure of Powerhouse Hobbs, along with several new signings, including the former TNA faction, The Rascalz.
Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed made their AEW debut in a backstage segment on Collision. However, Trey Miguel was nowhere to be seen and wasn’t mentioned by the group. Unfortunately, there’s a reason for that.
Miguel took to his Instagram Stories today to announce he’s taking a break from professional wrestling, posting the following message:
“Taking a break from wrestling. Please respect my space and don’t tag me in any posts or comments. Go support the Rascalz still… *praying hands emoji* *green heart emoji,*” Trey Miguel said in a post.
In a shocking update from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Trey Miguel received his release from AEW at some point in the last few days.
Sapp was not provided a reason for Miguel’s release beyond being told that AEW remains on amicable terms with him.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
