AJ Lee Reveals Her ‘Six Grandfathers’ Of WWE Women’s Wrestling
Move over, Mount Rushmore. AJ Lee has a new list of iconic pro wrestlers.
AJ Lee and CM Punk were featured on the latest episode of Hot Ones Versus. During the segment, AJ was asked to name her “Mount Rushmore” of women’s WWE Superstars. Before finishing the question, Punk offered a bit of a history lesson and rephrased the topic.
“I’m going to read this from the card, and then I’m going to give you my changes,” CM Punk began. “Who is on your Mount Rushmore of Women’s Superstars? And I say ‘hawk tuah’ to Mount Rushmore. Before A bunch of random white people decided to carve faces in it, it was an American Indian monument called Six Grandfathers. Who’s on your six grandfathers of women’s superstars?”
AJ Lee: “I feel like I have to go through generations. Chyna, Lita, Beth Phoenix. You’ve dated a lot of these [women]. I’m sorry, is that awkward? You have really good taste, obviously. [points to herself]
CM Punk: “So, you’re going to put yourself on that list now?
AJ Lee: “Well, I’m next. Before me, I would say Mickie James, then me. Then, from the current generation, Bayley. It’s hard to only pick one from [this generation]. I could do a [list] of six from this generation, they are so good. Lyra [Valkyria], Roxanne [Perez], Rhea [Ripley], Jade [Cargill]. Becky [Lynch].
“I love Becky, don’t you dare,” AJ said to Punk, who rolled his eyes. AJ said Becky Lynch’s husband, Seth Rollins, is not a reflection of who she is. Punk disagreed, however, and called Rollins a little bitch for eating a wing of death instead of complimenting him.
