WWE Editing In Old Crowd Footage On Their Current Shows
WWE is editing in old crowd footage from years ago and attempting to pass it off as modern-day audiences.
During WrestleMania: Backlash, the promo package for the Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss match featured footage of a crowd that fans noticed was from 2012.
The footage in question depicts WWE Superfan ‘Brock Lesnar Guy’ from the March 12, 2012 RAW, where John Cena appeared as the Dr. of Thuganomics.
Cena brought back his old character as part of his feud with The Rock, which would see the Brahma Bull beat Cena at WrestleMania 28.
During a recent WWE Evil episode about Stephanie McMahon, the company inserted crowd shots from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show to make it look like fans were reacting to a Stephanie-Triple H segment from 1999.
During the Madcap Moss/Corbin video recap, WWE used crowd shots from 2012 from John Cena’s return as the Dr. of Thuganomics. They have been doing more of this lately. pic.twitter.com/Vg2vd4f3IQ
