RUSH has made his AEW allegiance clear despite being away from the ring for several months. The AEW star shut down a fan’s suggestion that he could make a move to AAA.

The AEW star, known as El Toro Blanco, was recently asked by a fan about possibly joining AAA. The promotion has become one of the biggest talking points in wrestling following its acquisition by WWE. However, RUSH had no interest in the idea.

RUSH makes it clear that AEW is his current priority

On September 4, 2026, a fan suggested that the Mexican promotion could use RUSH, writing, “Brother, they could use you in the AAA.”

The AEW star gave a clear response:

“No thanks, my present is #aew.”

RUSH’s response left little room for doubt. But the timing of the exchange is interesting because he has not competed for AEW since the July 1 episode of Collision, where the matches were taped. His long absence has naturally raised questions about when fans will see him back in action.

RUSH was also absent from AEW’s massive All In: London event at Wembley Stadium. Before the show, the former AAA star addressed his absence and made it clear that he planned to keep working while waiting for his next AEW opportunity.

With All In now in the rearview and RUSH still yet to return, speculation about his wrestling future continues to run rampant. AAA was an obvious name for fans to mention because of RUSH’s history with the promotion and its current connection to WWE. He previously wrestled for AAA from 2019 until 2023.

AAA’s situation has changed a lot since then. WWE acquired AAA in April 2025. The two promotions have since worked together as WWE has continued expanding its international presence.

That relationship has made AAA a bigger destination for wrestlers connected to WWE. For RUSH, though, his latest social media response suggests that AAA is not part of his plans right now.
