Ex-TNA Star Signs With AEW, Debut Expected Soon — Report
Former TNA star Dani Luna is reportedly headed to AEW.
Luna began making a name for herself on the British independent scene before joining WWE’s NXT UK brand. She made her NXT UK debut in 2019 and signed with WWE in January 2020. She remained with the company until her release in 2022.
During her time in NXT UK, Luna worked alongside Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster as part of Subculture. Following her WWE departure, she returned to the independent scene and competed for promotions including RevPro and other British wrestling companies.
Luna joined TNA in 2023 and later became a full-time member of the roster. She found significant success alongside Jody Threat as part of Spitfire.
Luna and Threat won the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship for the first time at Sacrifice in March 2024. The duo went on to become two-time champions and were also named Knockouts Tag Team of the Year in TNA’s 2024 Year-End Awards.
After her partnership with Threat came to an end, Luna began establishing herself as a singles competitor. She challenged for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Sacrifice in March 2026, facing champion Arianna Grace and Lei Ying Lee in a three-way match. Grace retained the title.
Luna became a free agent in March after requesting her release from TNA. The promotion granted the request, with reports noting there was no bad blood between the two sides.
Dani Luna Reportedly Joins AEW With Debut Expected Soon
Fightful Select reported that Luna has joined AEW. She is expected to make her debut fairly soon, although the exact timing of her first appearance has not been confirmed.
Talk of Luna potentially joining AEW had been circulating before the company’s recent European tour. One AEW source previously expected her to debut during the European shows, but she ultimately did not appear.
Her reported move to All Elite Wrestling would reunite her with several wrestlers from the British wrestling scene, including reigning AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, and add another experienced performer to the company’s women’s division.
The timing of Luna’s reported arrival has also led to speculation about a potential appearance at AEW All Out. One fan responding to Fightful’s report suggested that Luna could answer Persephone’s TBS Championship open challenge at the event.
However, the comment itself expressed doubt that Luna would be used for the open challenge, arguing that AEW would be unlikely to have a new signing lose immediately after debuting. The commenter wrote, “I bet she’s showing up, but I’m not convinced she’s the open challenge,” while also suggesting fans may simply be trying to be first to predict her debut.
There is currently no confirmation that Luna will appear at All Out or that she will be involved in Persephone’s TBS Championship open challenge.
