Drew McIntyre Fuels WWE Return Speculation With New In-Ring Video
Drew McIntyre has sparked fresh speculation about his WWE return after sharing new footage of himself training inside a wrestling ring.
The former multi-time world champion has been away from WWE programming since WrestleMania 42. McIntyre’s absence has largely been connected to his acting commitments, including roles in Highlander and The Last Druid.
McIntyre recently returned to the United States after completing his overseas commitments. However, reports indicated that WWE had not yet begun major creative discussions regarding his return to television.
The Scottish Warrior has continued working out during his time away from WWE. He also recently said that he misses wrestling, although no specific return date had been confirmed.
Drew McIntyre Posts New In-Ring Training Footage Amid WWE Absence
McIntyre took to X on Friday and posted a short video of himself inside a wrestling ring. The footage shows the former Undisputed WWE Champion running the ropes as he continues his in-ring training.
McIntyre captioned the post simply, “Reps.”
The footage does not confirm that McIntyre is preparing for an immediate WWE return. However, it comes at a time when speculation about his comeback has increased following his return to the United States and recent comments about missing wrestling.
McIntyre’s last WWE match came at WrestleMania 42, where he lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match.
For now, McIntyre’s latest video provides another indication that he is keeping himself ready for an eventual return to WWE. However, the company has yet to announce when the former world champion will make his comeback to television.
