MJF Blasts ‘Dumb’ TNA President After Report About Pulling Talent From Shows
MJF isn’t holding back and shared what he really thinks about TNA’s latest talent move.
TNA recently pulled talent from various matches they were scheduled to compete in over the next month. This includes Moose being pulled from a Maple Leaf Pro event, and Nic Nemeth was removed from his scheduled match against AEW World Champion MJF for Create-A-Pro.
TNA’s only official statement on the matter so far was that “TNA wrestlers were pulled due to partner conflicts.”
According to a report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), the move was sparked by TNA President Carlos Silva’s unhappiness with AEW airing Collision on Thursday, which ran head-to-head with TNA Impact on AMC. Collision aired on Thursday due to NCAA basketball tournament coverage.
AEW was actually in favor of airing Collision at the conclusion of Saturday’s basketball broadcast due to the large lead-in audience. However, the pre-emption was reportedly a Warner Bros. Discovery call, not AEW’s decision.
MJF blasts TNA for a bad move for its talent
MJF reacted to the report about TNA’s reasoning for pulling talent, calling Silva a “dumb motherf***er” for not seeing the bigger picture.
“It’s called being preempted due to March madness. This guy is actively a dumb motherf***er,” MJF wrote on Twitter/X. “Congrats. You pay your talents shit. Than force them off shows where they can make money. #lolTna”
This follows MJF’s initial post, where he claimed Silva didn’t care about talent or TNA fans.
AEW Collision and TNA Impact only went head-to-head between 9 and 10 pm EST on Thursday. However, it still could have had a potential effect on ratings. Impact viewership dropped more than 20 percent compared to the previous week.
