Frankie B Says The Australian Scene ‘Lost Their Minds’ For Lena Kross’ AEW Debut
Frankie B recalls the reaction to Lena Kross‘ AEW arrival.
In front of a fiery Sydney crowd, Lena Kross made her official AEW debut by aligning herself with Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford at Grand Slam Australia. Kross first dropped her fellow Aussie Harley Cameron with a fireman’s carry cutter before Bayne followed with a spear to Willow Nightingale, the other half of the then-AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.
During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Frankie B confirmed that the Australian wrestling scene erupted in cheers at the sight of Kross’ AEW debut, or in her words, “lost their goddamn minds.”
“Everyone lost their goddamn mind, which is not unexpected because it’s Lena Kross,” Frankie said. “Need I say more? Everyone lost their mind. It was fun to see the crowd more than anything because I think a lot of people wouldn’t have expected her to do that. They would probably expected something else, especially with Harley Cameron and all of that there. But like I had tears in my eyes and I had tissues and nose, I’m [crying] going ‘This is the greatest thing ever.’ But yeah, everyone is just super supportive of her and what she’s doing. I think everyone’s just really proud.”
As rising stars on the Australian indie wrestling scene, Frankie B and Lena Kross crossed paths on a number of occasions, including matches in World Series Wrestling and SLAM. Now, Frankie is in the midst of a United States tour, while Kross reigns as one-half of AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Megan Bayne.
The same weekend as Grand Slam Australia, Frankie marked her ROH debut in a pre-taped tag bout against The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue). “The Designer Doll” also wrestled on AEW House Rules Australia.
