Trish Stratus Reveals Future Plans After WWE Evolution 2

Trish Stratus is among the few legends confirmed for WWE Evolution 2. She appeared on SmackDown and challenged Tiffany Stratton to a match for the WWE Women’s Championship at the pay-per-view event.

The last time Stratus was seen in a match was at Elimination Chamber. She teamed with her upcoming opponent, Stratton, to take on Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. But what will the icon do after Evolution?

Trish Stratus Claims Her Future In WWE Is Uncertain

While speaking with Sam Roberts, Stratus was asked about her future in WWE. After Evolution 2, will fans get to see the legend more often? She said,

“It kinda felt like, since this is my 25th anniversary year, it’s a year of celebration. That’s how I talked about it, like, let’s do some cool stuff this year.”

“We’ve had these moments. Coming in at 25 at the Royal Rumble, Toronto was right around the corner, it made sense.”

“We built on the Money in the Bank story from a year ago, got a nice partnership there, had a nice homecoming match. And now this is a great place for us to face off at Evolution.”

“It’s only July right now. I’ve literally said, ‘If you guys want some more Stratusfaction, let me know.”

“But if you don’t, then let me know too. So if you want more Stratusfaction, let me know.”

It seems clear that WWE doesn’t have any plans in place for Stratus, which could mean that she isn’t going to win the title at WWE Evolution 2. Fans did speculate that Naomi could try to cash in, resulting in Stratton winning.

This match has divided the fanbase, while some are happy about it, others wish the opportunity had been given to someone more deserving.

Having a part-timer like Stratus compete for the title didn’t sit well with some fans. But then again, the night before Evolution 2, Goldberg will face GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
