Original Plans For Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt At The Royal Rumble

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, a rematch between Randy Orton and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt was talked about for the Royal Rumble. The match was planned to take place at the show up until around two weeks ago, playing off the recent segments between Orton and Alexa Bliss. The idea for Randy Orton entering the Men’s Royal Rumble match was seen as a red herring.

To date, it seems unlikely the match will happen now and may be saved for next month’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event instead. The Royal Rumble will be taking place this Sunday (January 31st) and will be streaming live on the WWE Network.
