AEW’s Kevin Knight Addresses Girlfriend Mara Sadè’s Future After TNA Exit
AEW star Kevin Knight has addressed his girlfriend Mara Sadè’s future following her recent departure from TNA Wrestling.
Sadè became a free agent after her TNA contract expired last month. Fightful Select was the first to report that her deal had ended.
Knight discussed Sadè’s next move during an appearance on Ringer Wrestling, where he was asked about what could be next for his girlfriend.
“Your guess is as good as mine. The biggest thing that I could say is she’s been working hard to not only prove the people wrong but to prove herself right and to finish her story and to keep continuing on,” he said.
The AEW TNT Champion also praised Sadè’s development throughout her career, pointing to her time in NXT and TNA.
“From her journey first starting out in NXT, doing a year in TNA, her trajectory, her improvement has been crazy and it’s all due to her hard work.
“She didn’t sit on her laurels and feel sorry for herself. So she’s hungry, she’s ready and she has amazing charisma, and I think anybody that picks her up, it’s a gift to have.”
Mara Sadè Has Attracted AEW Interest
Sadè’s next destination has already become a major topic of speculation following her TNA departure.
Fightful Select previously reported that AEW is expected to pursue Sadè, with sources within the company expecting it to make a play for the former TNA star. Sources across both TNA and AEW also told Fightful Select that they believe Sadè is likely headed to AEW.
A move to AEW would also reunite Sadè with Knight, who currently competes for the promotion. However, Knight made it clear that he does not know where she will end up.
Before joining TNA, Sadè competed in WWE as Jakara Jackson. She spent several years on the NXT brand as a member of Meta-Four and also challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship during her time with the company.
Following her WWE departure, Sadè joined TNA Wrestling and established herself as a rising talent in the Knockouts division.
She entered the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament and defeated Tasha Steelz in the opening round. Her final match for the promotion came against Heather by Elegance in the quarterfinals, with Heather advancing in the tournament.
