CM Punk’s Answer About What Makes Him Smile Is Incredibly Sweet
WWE‘s CM Punk has a heartwarming response to what makes him smile.
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk appeared at Netflix’s charity event Night of Too Many Stars on Thursday, May 7. During an interview with Supersmile backstage at the event, Punk was asked about what makes him smile. He had a sweet response to the question, saying he’d be a liar if he didn’t say his wife, AJ Lee, makes him smile.
Besides her, CM Punk noted that comedy and interacting with his fans are the other things that make him smile.
“I’m a wife guy. If I didn’t say my wife, I’d be a liar,” CM Punk said. “Comedy makes me smile, interacting with fans makes me smile. My motto is every day above ground is a good day.”
AJ Lee shares how she and CM Punk first started dating
Speaking to Stephanie McMahon on her What’s Your Story podcast, AJ Lee revealed how she and CM Punk first started dating.
“We dated probably two years after our storyline,” AJ Lee began. “But our first kiss was on television, and then I put him through a table. Wrestling relationships! Early on, I think he respected me to the point of, like, in NXT, he was one of the announcers, and when everyone else sh** on us, he’d be like, ‘But AJ’s cool.’ He was always putting me over.
“When we did the storyline together, I remember there was like a… he was supposed to say something mean to me in one of the backstages (segment) that was going on live. It was live, and then he didn’t say the mean thing, and he, like, hit on me or something.”
“I think part of me was like, ‘Who knows, let’s try this.’ Then I blinked, and we were married in two months or something like that. But I do remember when we were just friends, like zero romantic interest. We were talking at a restaurant one time, and he’s saying something about, like, he’s never getting married, and a weird voice in my head went, ‘You’re gonna marry me.’ And I was like, ‘B***h shut up, who was that?’ Then I didn’t talk to him for a year. I was freaked out by that,” she said about CM Punk.
