WWE’s Raquel Rodriguez Reveals Reaction To Liv Morgan’s Frightening Head Injury

Raquel Rodriguez was really worried about her Judgment Day stablemates, but she also saw a little humor in the situation.

Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez cracked heads during a backstage incident with Stephanie Vaquer on the April 6, 2026, episode of WWE RAW. Fans worried that Morgan might miss her scheduled match with Vaquer at WrestleMania, as she had a nasty-looking bruise and lump on her head after the collision.

Raquel Rodriguez has also been on the receiving end of a beatdown that resulted in a similar injury. She sustained that injury when Nikki Bella attacked her during a match against Vaquer in December. Because of that, Rodriguez saw a bit of humor in all three Judgment Day ladies ending up with head injuries, but still wanted to make sure everyone was OK first.

“Once I knew they were OK, I thought it was a little funny just because I, too, have had an egg on my head. So I know what she was going through and how she was feeling,” Rodriguez told WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. “Because one, it’s not fun to take a knock on your head. Two, you go to check on yourself and your forehead has grown six times its normal size.

“So, I knew how she was feeling. I felt very, very bad for her and Roxanne, and I’m just glad that they’re both OK. It was such a nasty hit. It could have been devastating, it could have been detrimental to this weekend and the plans of this weekend. But they’re both healthy and they’ll both be OK.”

Raquel Rodriguez tried to be positive about the situation

Rodriguez confirmed a report from F4WOnline.com’s Bryan Alvarez that both Morgan and Perez were put in concussion protocol. She also said that Morgan is healing exactly how she did. She’s just glad that both of her stablemates are healthy enough to continue wrestling.

“I did try to get them both some sort of light and hope in the situation that they would be OK because it has happened to me. And I’ve seen how [Liv has been] healing, it’s the exact same way I healed. It’s that hematoma, it’s like a blood clot,” Rodriguez explained. “Once it’s there, the blood has to go somewhere. It starts swelling into your eyes, dripping into your sockets, so you have two black eyes. But no, I definitely worried for them, but I am glad we have the medical staff that we do. They went straight into concussion protocol and got cleared, they got taken care of, and both are OK.”

Raquel also joked about Vaquer being involved in both head injury incidents, noting that the Judgment Day is “all on our heels more after that bump” and being more cautious about whose back they’re watching.”

Morgan went on to defeat Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42.
