WWE’s Booker T Calls for Stronger Security After Bathroom Filming Incident
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T comments on the bad security situation in the talent hotel during WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T noted that the WWE stars needed better security at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 weekend. He shared that fans were camping outside the hotel and were following the talent. He also revealed that he was mobbed and someone even filmed him in the bathroom.
“Walking through MGM Grand, we needed some better security at MGM Grand this year,” Booker T said. “Just because, it was really, really hard — I can only imagine what the superstars, the guys that’s actually going out there and doing it in the ring, how it felt for them. Because I got mobbed, and I’m not even doing this anymore. So hopefully we can get that fixed.
“They were camped out — everywhere — they were camped out. You couldn’t walk anywhere,” Booker T said. “And they were following you. In the bathroom, I remember the guy literally was filming me in the bathroom. And when I walked out he goes, ‘Hey, Booker.’ And I just kept walking because I was so mad because he was filming me in the bathroom.” [H/T F4WOnline]
Apart from what Booker T described, there were also other instances of WWE talent facing issues dealing with unruly fans. CM Punk had to slap a phone out of a person’s hand who was filming AJ Lee and Bayley. Reports also noted that Damian Priest helped a female star escape a group of fans.
In an update to the CM Punk situation, the fan whose phone he swatted away has demanded an apology from the former World Heavyweight Champion.
