Top WWE Star Underwent Major Surgery Ahead of WrestleMania 42 — Report

wwe wrestlemania 42

Bron Breakker has reportedly undergone major surgery, raising questions about his availability for WWE WrestleMania 42.

Breakker had a disappointing night at the Men’s Royal Rumble on January 31. A masked attacker jumped him at ringside, which led to a quick elimination by Oba Femi. After the incident, reports suggested that Grayson Waller was behind the attack.

According to those reports, WWE pulled Waller from NXT live events so he could be in Riyadh, even though WWE did not advertise him for the show. Breakker appeared on the February 2 episode of WWE RAW, clearly angry about what happened at the Royal Rumble.

He caused chaos at ringside by tearing apart equipment before the General Manager of WWE RAW, Adam Pearce, had him removed from the arena. Following that incident, F4WOnline.com’s Wrestling Observer Daily Update reported that Bron Breakker is now out of action. Breakker reportedly underwent surgery for a serious hernia. At this time, there is no update on how long he will be sidelined.

The surgery has created major doubts about Bron Breakker’s participation in WrestleMania 42, which takes place in Las Vegas. Breakker’s recovery progress to return to the ring is uncertain at this time. F4W’s Dave Meltzer had recently reported that Breakker was set for a match against Seth Rollins at the event.

As WrestleMania 42 draws near in Las Vegas, the surgery has put Bron Breakker’s status for the event in serious doubt.

Update: PWInsider.com says the initial report is accurate. It was noted that Bron Breakker was hurt during Monday’s episode of WWE Raw on Netflix after flipping the commentary table over. It was determined that surgery was needed by Wednesday, February 4, and there is no timetable for his return.
