TNA Debuts New Version of International Championship
The TNA International Championship looks more appropriate for Trey Miguel now.
TNA introduced the International Championship in March 2025, when Director of Authority Santino Marella stripped Steph De Lander of the TNA Digital Media Championship. The “DMC” was retired and replaced with the TNA International Championship, which featured an ocean blue leather strap.
Steve Maclin became the inaugural TNA International Champion by defeating Eric Young and A. J. Francis at TNA Unbreakable, and there have been five total reigns (with four different champions) so far. All previous champions wore the blue strap, but that changed on this week’s episode of TNA Thursday Night Impact on AMC.
Trey Miguel debuted a new lime green International Championship, which fits his personal color scheme. Miguel successfully retained his title against NXT’s Stacks, whom he beat for the title at No Surrender last week.
This isn’t the first green-themed title in TNA history, as the promotion also had a green X Division Championship between 2015 and 2017. The promotion also used a title with green accents for the GFW Championship during the Global Force Wrestling era.
