Major Update on Roman Reigns’ WWE WrestleMania 42 Opponent
A major update has emerged regarding Roman Reigns’ likely opponent at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Reigns came out for the men’s Royal Rumble match at no. 26 and made it all the way to the final four, alongside Randy Orton, Logan Paul and Gunther who also entered from no. 30 after retiring AJ Styles earlier in the night.
After Paul and Orton were eliminated, the match came down to Reigns and Gunther. The Ring General appeared to have the upper hand after locking Reigns in a sleeper hold. However, Reigns fought back and hit with a Spear and tossed him out to secure the win. This marked his second Royal Rumble win after his first win back in 2015.
Recent reports indicate who Roman Reigns is scheduled to face at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. PWInsider.com reports that there has reportedly been “a lot” of internal discussion about CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns as a potential WWE WrestleMania 42 main event.
Reigns and Punk have been at odds for over a year now, having faced one another at WWE WrestleMania 41 and even joined forces at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. WWE WrestleMania 42 is only a short time away, it will be interesting to see how the things unfolds.
