Nikki Bella Reacts To Fans Shaming Her For Kissing Her Son On The Lips
Nikki Bella thinks it is sad that people got upset over her sharing a wonderful moment with her son.
The latest episode of SiriusXM’s The Nikki and Brie Show saw Nikki Bella react to the recent backlash she received over kissing her son, Matteo, on the lips in a recent photo she posted.
Nikki kissed her son on the lips during a recent trip to Legoland. She shared the exchange in a carousel of photos on Instagram. That apparently didn’t go over well with some, and Nikki and Brie addressed the issue on their show.
Brie mentioned that it seemed like something was bothering Nikki, who couldn’t believe that people were bothered by her sharing an innocent moment with her son.
“It’s so weird. I mean, there were quite a few reasons why I turned my comments off on that post. And it just goes to show why I don’t put my son on social media. But what’s so crazy and sad about that is, and it wasn’t even that many comments, but it was enough to bug me where like, ‘I can’t believe she kisses her son on the lips, he’s five,’ and I’m like, ‘Dude, I can’t believe you’re so bothered by it and annoyed.’ That’s crazy to me, and I was just like, it was just, I thought it felt so rude.”
Nikki Bella says social media ruined a great moment her son had at Legoland
Nikki said she’s tired of people commenting on her relationship with her son. She said this also includes comments about making him get a haircut. The former WWE Divas Champion said these hurtful comments are why she doesn’t like to post about him on social media.
“But the kissing thing was so annoying to me and just bothersome. Because I’m like, first of all, I love my son so much. And I feel bad if your kid wants to kiss you on the lips and you tell him no. I think that’s sad because I don’t know what that would do to them mentally. In that photo that’s on the cover photo, Matteo, that was his first time seeing Lego Santa, just the Lego version. He got so excited, so the lady was just taking photos.
“Matteo grabbed me and gave me that big kiss. It was the cutest thing because he was just, you could tell, so excited and grateful. He was actually going into Legoland and he saw Lego Santa, so it was such a great moment. And then, you know, when he popped in on our last episode and we gave him kisses, people were putting that on Twitter, like, ‘I can’t believe she asked him for a kiss.’ Me, and I’m like, ‘You’re wild.’”
