CM Punk Does Goofy Version Of John Cena’s Five Knuckle Shuffle At WWE Event
CM Punk pulled off John Cena’s five knuckle shuffle with a funny twist during a recent WWE live event.
The WWE Superstars were at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany, for one of the Road to Royal Rumble live events. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk successfully defended his title against The Vision’s Bronson Reed at the event.
During the match, CM Punk set Bronson Reed up for John Cena’s signature five-knuckle shuffle. However, Cena wasn’t the only WWE legend he paid tribute to.
After doing the “You Can’t See Me,” Punk mixed it up with Hall of Famer Road Dogg’s signature shake, rattle, and roll gesture before hitting Reed with a knee drop.
CM Punk also had a wholesome moment with a fan at the event. Before the match began, he spotted a fan holding a sign paying tribute to his recently passed dog, Larry. Moved by the gesture, Punk got out of the ring and gave the fan his shirt.

CM Punk has a big title defence next week on WWE RAW on Netflix
After defeating Bron Breakker to retain the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 5, 2026, episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, CM Punk came out on this week’s episode expecting a new challenger. The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor stepped out and reminded Punk that he named him as someone he wanted to face after winning the championship back in November.
While CM Punk was open to defending the title at the event, Finn Balor insisted that they do it in his home country when WWE RAW takes place in Belfast, Ireland, next week. It will be the first time the two superstars collide in a singles match, and it will be interesting to see if Balor can get his hands on a main roster world title after nearly a decade.
