The Great Khali Is Returning To The Ring
The Great Khali is stepping back inside the ring.
WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali hasn’t competed inside a wrestling ring since the Greatest Royal Rumble match in 2018. The last time he made a WWE-related appearance was at the Superstar Spectacle live event in India back in 2023.
Now, the giant is gearing up to make a comeback to the ring next month to take on former WWE and AEW star Parker Boudreaux. The Great Khali founded Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) in 2015, an independent promotion and wrestling school, based in Punjab, India. The promotion took to Instagram to reveal that Khali will take on Bourdeaux on January 25, 2026.
“Watch the Great Khali take on the challenge of Parker Boudreaux in the ring! – Will The Great Khali save the nation’s honour in the face of this absurd dare? find out at the maithan mania, ultimate show of strength – 25th January, 2026 in Dhanbad.”
Jim Cornette Refutes Story That The Great Khali Killed A Wrestler While Training At OVW
Jim Cornette recently refuted David Otunga‘s claim that The Great Khali accidentally killed someone in OVW.
During his recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, former WWE Tag Team Champion David Otunga noted that he refused to take Khali’s two-handed chokeslam, claiming he once accidentally killed someone with the move in OVW.
Jim Cornette, who served as OVW’s co-owner and head booker, refuted Otunga’s claim, saying the former World Heavyweight Champion was never a part of WWE’s former developmental territory.
“Wrong wrestling school by about 2300 miles, dipshit. Nobody was ever killed, paralyzed, or allowed to dive off balconies in OVW, and the Great Khali nor any other lesser Khali ever attended OVW. @TMZ needs to factcheck their programming,” Cornette wrote.
However, the ill-fated incident did occur, not in OVW, but at All Pro Wrestling’s boot camp in 2001.
