Lady Frost’s Message Of Resiliency Extends To France’s Celine Faery

Lady Frost is inspiring people all across the world.

At the age of 33, Lady Frost made her professional wrestling debut in a quick match against “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka on WWE Raw. Nowadays, she’s successfully kicking butts in All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and the indie circuit.

In between it all, Frost inspired another aspiring wrestler to follow in her footsteps, whom European fans now know as Celine Faery. WrestleZone’s Ella Jay recently chatted with Faery about Frost’s influence on her as well the full-circle moment they shared in France this past October.

“I had this [Wrestling Pro Essonne] show, I see the poster, and I’m like okay I am in the same match as her,” Faery recalled. “Could have been very stressed and everything, but for me it was okay until the second I see her coming into the room. I just look at her and I’m like, ‘Oh, okay. Don’t lose it. Don’t lose it. It’s okay. It’s okay.’ I was thinking, okay, she’s the person I used to follow on social media, and I really like the message she was sharing.”

At WPE’s Quality Over Quantity event, Calypso defended the WPE Sunshine Championship against Frost, Faery, Agathe, and Ophelie, with Faery emerging victorious. Afterward, the French star celebrated with a warm arm raise and embrace from Frost, whose message of perseverance continues to inspire her to this day.

Frost’s Message Lives On In Faery

“She’s amazing in the ring, but what I really like about her is the message I want to share,” Faery said. “She started wrestling a little bit later than other people. She’s very open about resilience, mental health issues, life, and everything like that. I think this is a really good message.

“In my opinion, I think when you have influence or if you get famous somehow, your mission should be to share good stuff and to be the voice somehow of people that don’t have your voice. She really uses her platform to share this kind of message, to share more than wrestling, and I think it’s amazing. So meeting her and sharing the ring with her was amazing. Especially at the end because I won the title, then I just turned around and she’s here behind me.”

Following her title win, Faery successfully defended the WPE Sunshine Championship against Mila Smidt and Ophelie in November.
