AEW Has Interest In Former WWE ID Talent — Report
All Elite Wrestling has shown interest in a former WWE ID talent, according to a new report.
In a new report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), AEW has been keeping an eye on Zayda Steel as of late. Steel was previously under contract with WWE, and AEW reportedly reached out to her sometime last month. Steel’s previous status as a WWE ID talent meant that, should AEW offer her a deal, WWE was allowed to match the rights of it. However, Steel is no longer under that deal.
Fightful notes that, when it was time for Steel to renew her WWE ID deal, she chose not to. This means that she’s technically free to sign anywhere, and WWE would have no recourse should she choose to sign elsewhere. During her time with WWE, Steel competed in nine EVOLVE matches, and also competed in GCW and APAC matches as a part of WWE ID’s tie-in with them.
Before her time with WWE, Steel also worked for Marigold, as well as Major League Wrestling. More information on Steel’s status will likely come at some point.
