Chavo Guerrero has re-signed with WWE.

During a recent interview with Bill Apter, former Tag Team and Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero announced that he has re-signed with WWE and will be working with AAA.

“I just re-signed with WWE. I’m helping out with their AAA show. I’m back with them.”

Speaking further, Chavo Guerrero had high praise for the AAA-WWE partnership and claimed that with WWE’s marketing and style, AAA’s popularity will skyrocket.

AAA is awesome, it was always awesome, I mean, the lucha libre, you know, that’s where my family originated from. So, I have a big love of lucha libre, and just to see AAA under that WWE umbrella, it’s pretty awesome, pretty cool.

“I just see such big things coming from this show. It’s one thing that we want to keep the tradition of lucha libre, to keep what makes lucha so amazing, and then you do that with WWE marketing and the WWE style, I think the sky is the limit, and I think the show is going to skyrocket and give the fans even better wrestling.”

Jack Swagger Confirmed Chavo Guerrero Played His Bald Eagle Mascot In WWE

During a recent appearance on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast, former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger confirmed a long-standing rumor that Chavo Guerrero portrayed his bald eagle mascot, the Swagger Soaring Eagle.

“Number one in your heart, number one in your program, Chavo Guerrero. He did it for most of it, and he did the best,” Jack Swagger said. “It was amazing. He was not happy doing it, but he was amazing. I think it was just one of those timing issues where we needed someone with experience.

“Obviously, he played to the crowd so well with everything, and he didn’t have something going on at the time. Also, [I was] a young guy pair me with an older guy, so I can learn and get a little wisdom from it. Chavo, thank you. You will always be my soaring eagle.”
