Braun Strowman really wants to play Zangief.
Former WWE superstar Braun Strowman is campaigning hard to play Zangief. The Monster of All Monsters expressed his interest in playing the Russian character after reports emerged of Roman Reigns in talks to portray an iconic villain in the live-action adaptation of Street Fighter.
Strowman once again took to social media to react to AI art of him as Zangief, asking fans to manifest him in the role. The former WWE Universal Champion also dropped a video doing a Russian accent after fans asked him if he could pull off the accent.
Braun Strowman is getting his own food-related show
Braun Strowman was part of the May wave of WWE roster cuts, which also included the likes of Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai and Cora Jade. Despite finishing up with the company, Strowman still has a WWE-linked project on the way.
The former Wyatt Family member filmed a project with the USA Network prior to being released. The Wrap reported that Strowman’s food-related show is expected to hit the screens this fall.
It remains to be seen if Braun Strowman manages to land the role of Zangief in the live-action Street Fighter film. Whether he does or not, it’s not for lack of effort on his part!
