WWE Talent Were “Caught Off Guard” By Latest Releases

WWE talent did not expect the recent cuts to the main roster made this week that resulted in half a dozen individuals getting released.

This week, WWE released AOP, Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander, and Blair Davenport while Sonya Deville has been informed her contract will not be renewed.

Sportskeeda’s Chris Featherstone is reporting that talent were “caught off guard” from the latest string of releases, especially since most had recently been on TV.

The report added that some talent cut were “scheduled to receive more exposure” on programming before being abruptly cut from WWE.

On Twitter, Alexander confirmed the news of his exit in a post reflecting on being a part of WWE for the past eight-and-a-half years.
