John Cena’s WrestleMania 41 Plans Have Been In The Works For Months

Even though John Cena missed out on winning this year’s WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match, as Jey Uso eliminated him, The Champ will have another opportunity to headline WWE WrestleMania 41.

During the WWE Royal Rumble post-show media scrum, Cena declared himself for the men’s Elimination Chamber next month.

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is rumored that Jey will face World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41. This would leave only Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes ready to face Cena.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that “Rhodes vs. John Cena, with Cena winning in the Elimination Chamber, was the plan since probably October or November for one of the main events with the story of Cena going for the record 17th world title.”
