Darby Allin Reveals ‘Plan B’ For Dynamite 250 Entrance, Deonna Purrazzo’s Dream Matchups

Darby Allin had a special entrance during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite 250, where he descended from the rafters to confront The Elite.

It was later noted that Martha Hart approved the entrance, as she has in the past whenever AEW used spots involving rafters.

In a recent appearance on the “Battleground” podcast, Allin revealed his backup plan if Hart had not approved of the spot.

The former TNT Champion said, “Plan B was coming back out with the flamethrower [laughs], torching a fool. But no, I was sitting right by Tony [Khan], and she walked up right before she was going to go out, when she presented Danielson with the trophy for the Owen Hart Foundation, and Tony’s like, ‘Hey, we were thinking of Darby coming down from the ceiling. She’s like, ‘First of all, I love your work, Darby, and I trust AEW with everything, all the precautions.’ Because we’ve got a great team. So it seemed like there was no hesitation on her part. It was cool because I was right there and just talked to her, and she knows how everybody goes about things. So much safety went into that. We don’t mess around.”

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Deonna Purrazzo discussed her potential dream matchups in AEW, one of which involves her best friend, Britt Baker.

Purrazzo said, “Everybody knows that’s one of my best friends, so I feel like for us to finally be in the same company, in the same place, it’s inevitable at some point we’re going to work together, at some point we’re going to hate each other, and I really look forward to that.”

Purrazzo further noted that she would like to face TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.

She continued, “With Mercedes, I feel like that’s a dream match I’ve always had, and we’ve always skirted around each other. We’ve never gotten the chance to be in the same place at the same time. My dream match would be a submission match with her. I feel like we’re both so technical, and so submission — we’ve built our careers on having submissions, I feel like to trade those back and forth would be a dream come true for me.”
