WWE Star Released by Company After Cryptic Post Fuels Speculation — Report
Jasper Troy’s WWE run has seemingly come to an end, with the NXT powerhouse reportedly released by the company on September 4, 2026, after nearly three months away from NXT TV. The timing becomes even more interesting after Troy shares a cryptic post on social media.
Troy spent four years in WWE’s developmental system after originally signing with the company in August 2022. The former college football offensive lineman built a reputation as one of the more physically imposing prospects at the WWE Performance Center before eventually moving into the NXT championship picture.

His September 4 post creates some early speculation about his status. Troy wrote “30 Days” on X and pins the message to the top of his profile. The post did not elaborate on the meaning behind the message. Nevertheless, it comes on the same day his WWE contract is reportedly terminated.
PW Insider has reported that “there are releases currently ongoing from the WWE NXT brand” and “the only name confirmed thus far” is Jasper Troy.
The 30-day reference is important because it appears to point to the standard non-compete period for NXT talent. The post also adds more meaning to comments Troy made just days earlier.
After his absence from the September 1 episode of NXT once again, Troy shared an emotional message about his love for wrestling.
“I Can Hold My Head High Knowing I Give My All Not For A Pat On The Back Or Because I Expect Something In Return……This Business Means Something To Me I Have So Much To Prove And I Ain’t In No Rush To Prove It I’ll Get Mines I’ll Stand On My Word And Become Everything I Know I Am I Won’t Be Denied!!!!!!!” Troy tweeted.
Those comments now carry a different meaning following his reported release. Troy’s last televised match came on June 9. However, he reportedly worked in a dark match and also taped a WWE Main Event match against Akira Tozawa in August.
