Former WWE Superstar Val Venis says Vince McMahon wouldn’t have booked Sami Zayn‘s 9/11 title win.
Sami Zayn defeated CM Punk to win the Undisputed WWE Championship for the second time on the September 11, 2026, episode of SmackDown in Mexico City. Former Intercontinental Champion Val Venis commented on Zayn’s title win after the event on X/Twitter.
Val Venis controversially connected Sami Zayn’s muslim background and TKO CEO Ari Emanuel to his outlandish CIA-Mossad 9/11 conspiracy theory without providing any proof. He questioned WWE’s decision to put the title on Zayn on the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
“WWE put the Undisputed WWE Championship on Muslim Sami Zayn on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. There is way more to unpack here. But this is the basic for now. FACT: Benjamin Auerbach (later changed his last name to Emanuel) was a known Jewish terrorist who fathered Rahm Emanuel and Ari Emanuel. Benjamin Auerbach = Jewish terrorist absorbed into the IDF. Rahm Emanuel = Jewish American politician. Ari Emanuel = Jewish American businessman (TKO/UFC/WWE). 25 years to the day of the Jewish attack on America, the son of Jewish terrorist Benjamin Auerbach put the WWE title on Sami Zayn, a Muslim man,” he wrote.
Val Venis Explains His Objection To Sami Zayn’s WWE Title Win
In response to the backlash regarding his comments, Val Venis clarified his stance on X/Twitter. He explained he doesn’t have any personal hatred towards Sami Zayn. However, he said his objection is over WWE’s decision to have the title change on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. He even noted that former Chairman Vince McMahon wouldn’t have booked it that way.
“Let me be clear(because media has a difficult time being honest): I harbor no personal hatred toward Sami Zayn. I congratulate him on another world-title run and wish him well. My objection is to the company that judged it appropriate to place the championship on a Muslim performer on the twenty-fifth anniversary of September 11. I do not believe Vince McMahon would have made that booking. Those now in control of WWE leave me with questions,” Val Venis posted.
