AEW has filed a new trademark application for a phrase that has become closely associated with its passionate fanbase.

On September 14, All Elite Wrestling filed to trademark “For The Sickos.” The phrase has been used by AEW President Tony Khan and various wrestlers when referring to the company’s fans, with “sickos” becoming a term of endearment within the promotion.

AEW has also previously used the phrase on merchandise, and the new filing could provide the company with additional trademark protection for its use.

According to the trademark filing, AEW is seeking protection for “For The Sickos” in connection with shirts, T-shirts, and sweatshirts. The filing lists June 27, 2024, as both the first use anywhere and first use in commerce for the merchandise.

The application also covers entertainment services related to professional wrestling. This includes wrestling contests, live professional wrestling performances, the production of professional wrestling programs and events, and television programming centered on professional wrestling.

The filing was made with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and remains subject to the trademark registration process.
