Britt Baker Makes AEW Return and Causes Title Change at All In
Britt Baker returned to AEW after nearly two years at All In: London and helped Persephone win the TBS Championship.
The AEW All In: London Buy-In pre-show featured a TBS Championship match between Maya World and CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone. The bout began with the two stars trying to end things early with multiple roll-up attempts.
Later in the match, both AEW stars were down until the referee counted nine. The official caught Persephone trying to use the rope as leverage to a roll-up pin. However, she quickly followed it up with a spear for a nearfall. After a series of action, Maya World performed a fallaway slam on Persephone from the top turnbuckle and followed it up with a bridging suplex pinfall attempt. However, Persephone grabbed the bottom rope.
In the closing moments of the match, a hooded person with a black mask shoved Maya World from the top turnbuckle. Persephone capitalized on the assist and hit her finisher to score the pin and win the AEW TBS Championship. With the victory, she became a double champion.
After the match, the hooded person entered the ring and locked Maya World in the Lockjaw. She then removed the mask and revealed herself as the returning former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker. Baker last appeared on the company’s programming in November 2024 and has finally come back after a lengthy absence.
