WWE Offering Big Discount On WrestleMania Tickets For Flash Sale
WWE is celebrating Austin 3:16 Day by offering a huge discount on tickets for several events, including both nights of WrestleMania 42.
Celebrating Austin 3:16 day, which honors Stone Cold Steve Austin’s iconic 1996 King of the Ring promo, WWE is offering 31.6% off select tickets for several live events in the US with the promo code WWE316.
WWE has listed 22 events across several dates until June 19 for the discount, including both nights of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas next month, and the Backlash PLE in Tampa on May 9. The offer is valid for one day and will run through 11:59 PM local time tonight.
Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW is taking place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, which is Steve Austin’s home state. Fans were anticipating an appearance from the Texas Rattlesnake at the event, as it coincides with Austin 3:16 Day, and the legend himself has commented on his status for the show.
Jim Ross comments on potential for Steve Austin match at WWE WrestleMania 42
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator Jim Ross shared his thoughts on Stone Cold Steve Austin potentially having a match at WrestleMania 42.
While Jim Ross believes Steve Austin could make an appearance at WrestleMania 42, he doesn’t see the Texas Rattlesnake competing.
“To wrestle? No. To make an appearance or to shoot an angle or something along those lines, I could see that potentially happening,” Jim Ross said. “But as far as Steve having another match, I don’t see it. I’m not being pessimistic or a negative Nelly or a negative Nelson, whatever.
“That’s not where his head is and he’s trying to take care of himself health-wise. You know, we just forget these guys are not Iron Man. When they’re hurt, they’re hurt. And Austin’s got that bad neck. He’s having bad knees. I don’t think it’s worth the risk, quite frankly,” the WWE Hall of Famer said. “I think that’s how Steve would look at it and I know him pretty well, but I don’t think there’s any chance. There’s a chance obviously that he could do something, but do I think he’ll wrestle? No way in hell.” [H/T F4WOnline]
WWE has confirmed that Austin will be part of the fan-focused experience, WWE World, at WrestleMania 42 weekend. However, there’s no word on whether he’ll appear at the event.
