There’s a new update on Nikki Bella’s injury after WWE SmackDown.
On the March 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, Nikki Bella teamed up with her twin sister Brie to defeat Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in a tag team match. However, a brawl broke out between multiple teams after the contest. Nikki appeared to have sustained an injury at some point, as fans saw her limping after the doctors checked on her.
A recent report indicated that Nikki Bella sustained a legitimate ankle injury during the match, detailing when and how it happened. Now, there’s a new visual update. A fan account on X/Twitter posted a behind-the-scenes clip of the Bella Twins filming a future episode of their podcast, Nikki and Brie Show, which shows Nikki Bella wearing a walking boot.
The user also mentioned that a friend of theirs who was at the podcast filming informed them that Nikki Bella said she’d be okay in a week or so. However, there’s no confirmation from any official sources.
Recent reports noted that WWE could be planning a multi-team match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42. The Bella Twins were also in the mix for the contest, and with the event fast approaching, there’s no word on whether the former Divas Champion will get cleared in time.

Nikki Bella confirms ‘so much’ time was cut from WWE return match
Speaking on a recent episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, the Bella Twins reflected on their return to tag team competition on WWE television on the March 20 episode of SmackDown. Nikki Bella then revealed that she couldn’t do a backflip during the bout since the promotion had cut back on the match time.
“We had so much time cut. Whenever I do the backflip, I like to take a moment to celebrate. And we thought we were going to come in and — anyways, long story short, when time gets cut, you’re just trying to figure out how to get everything started quickly,” Bella said.
