CM Punk names the toughest S.O.B. he’s ever had the privilege of knowing.
This is Football host Kevin Clark recently asked WWE Superstar CM Punk to name the toughest and meanest wrestler he has ever come across.
Without hesitation, the World Heavyweight Champion name-dropped Harley Race before recounting his legendary tenacity in the business.
“Harley Race. I mean, the toughest man that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He had what they call tendon strength, where he could shake your hand and break it. He was just the toughest guy I’ve ever been around. The stuff that I saw, the lore, the legends of Harley; he really lived up to it when you met him. He was a tough S.O.B,” Punk said.
CM Punk doesn’t see his WWE retirement tour happening anytime soon
In a new interview with the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, CM Punk was asked if he sees himself doing a retirement tour one day.
“I really don’t know,” Punk said, before explaining that retirement tours are a big part of Japanese wrestling culture. He also pointed out how stars like The Great Muta had special shows leading up to their retirement.
CM Punk also talked about John Cena’s recent farewell run. While some fans had mixed feelings about it, the WWE star said he thought it was a smart idea.
“So Cena did it, and I thought it was brilliant, you know, to say, ‘This is the last time you’re going to get to come see me, you get to see me put my boots on and wrestle or appear,’” Punk said.
