WWE has another mystery on its hands.

Monday’s episode of WWE RAW featured plenty of chaos in and out of the ring. However, plenty of fans are asking questions about a mystery angle that was launched during the show. After The Vision’s victory over LA Knight and The Usos, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce was seen examining a large crate that was labeled “Deliver to WWE, Do not open until 2/28/26.”

February 28, 2026, is the same day as the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Chicago. Pearce didn’t want to deal with it and handed the crate off to Nick Aldis on SmackDown, but fans continue to speculate about what’s actually in the crate.

What (or who) is in WWE’s mystery crate?

The crate is large enough to fit a man (or woman) inside, so fans are naturally speculating that it could be a returning or debuting Superstar inside. (Never mind the fact that they’d be inside of it for 12 days until it’s opened…)

Many people believe this crate could mark the return of Chris Jericho to WWE. For what it’s worth, Jericho did make his WWE debut in Chicago, and Fozzy’s UK tour is scheduled to wrap up in England on February 21, so it’s possible, but still speculation. After all, Jericho was rumored to return at the 2026 Royal Rumble, but he never showed up. It was later reported that WWE hadn’t discussed any plans for Jericho, and he’s still on the AEW roster page.

So, it could be Jericho, but it also might not be (and probably isn’t) him.

The WWE RAW mystery crate has also been criticized for feeling reminiscent of silly Vince McMahon-era storylines like Erick Rowan’s pet spider or the 2021’s “Golden Egg” angle that featured a $100 million Cleopatra egg that later went nowhere. It’s always possible that a person isn’t in the crate, but an object will be unveiled.

The crate might contain a statue, or it could be a title. It could also be a major award to display in your living room window. It might even be something as silly as a plug for Netflix’s reality game show called What’s in the Box?

Whatever it is, fans will have to wait until WWE Elimination Chamber for the big reveal. Here’s just hoping it’s not Detective Mills’ wife’s head.
