Killer Kross gets candid about his communication (or lack thereof) with WWE‘s Triple H in 2025.

Ahead of their return to WWE in 2022, Killer Kross and Scarlett personally spoke with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque over the phone about their contracts, and even finalized them with his help. When it came to potentially signing another pair in 2025, communication amongst the parties broke down, with a representative notably being placed between them.

During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Kross admitted that it was difficult to pinpoint why that happened.

“If I understood it, I would have addressed it directly,” he said. “But as I’ve said before, things got strange, and I always did my best to remain professional. I did my best to adapt. I would have preferred our old method of communication, which was just being direct. What better form of communication is there with someone you work for or with than speaking directly? That applies to anything in life.

“Things start to feel strange and convoluted when you introduce people you have no rapport with to speak on someone’s behalf. When they begin saying things that don’t sound like they would come from the person you’re both working for, it feels odd. I’m sure anyone can relate to that. That’s true in any walk of life. Things definitely became very odd.”

Kross Tried To Assess To Situation Rationally

Despite his confusion with the aforementioned series of events, Kross noted that he never made a fuss over it. In fact, he took a step back to see it from a business perspective, especially given that WWE was still adjusting to the TKO acquisition.

“I don’t know how many hats the people in management are wearing,” Kross said. “Maybe they had others delegated to pass along information because they simply couldn’t get around to speaking with every single person and explaining what was needed. I looked at the situation rationally.

“That said, when it comes to important, serious personal and professional conversations, I do believe time should be made for those. I don’t think that’s an outrageous notion at all. I think everyone can agree with that.”

Since leaving WWE in the summer of 2025, Kross has returned to the independent wrestling scene. He also competes for Major League Wrestling, where he recently won the company’s world title.

MLW Battle Riot VII will air for free on MLW’s YouTube channel beginning on Thursday, February 5 at 8:00 pm EST.
